Travelling To and Around Geneva

In recent years low-cost airlines have opened routes to Geneva (www.gva.ch) from the UK making air travel prices to the city even more competitive with the likes of Easyjet, Flybe and Jet2 all offering affordable services to and from Geneva.

Air France – to/from London City Airport.
Blue Islands – to/from Jersey.
BMI Baby – to/from Birmingham, Cardiff, East Midlands and Manchester.
BA – to/from London Gatwick and Heathrow.
Easyjet – to/from Belfast International, Birmingham, Bristol. East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool, Gatwick, Luton, Stansted, Manchester (from December 2008) and Newcastle.
Flybe – to/from Exeter, Isle of Man, Jersey, Newquay, Norwich and Southampton.

From Geneva Airport To The City Centre
By car
Many visitors to the city choose to hire a car for the flexibility and freedom it offers. Public Transport
Geneva’s city centre is reachable by the number 10 shuttle bus (http://www.tpg.ch/fr/ligne10) costing 3CHF, or £1.50) and leaves every 15 minutes. Trains (www.unireso.com) from the airport’s own terminal are free of charge to those arriving by plane by obtaining a ticket at the Geneva Transport kiosk in the arrivals terminal and is valid for 80 minutes after your arrival.
Alternatively taxis from the airport cost approximately 35CHF (£17.50) each way.
