Expect to pay in the region of €5-6 for a pint of beer and €6-7 for a large glass of wine. Dublin can be particularly costly for those drinking spirits. Mainline spirits cost around €5-6 (depending on bar and time of day), however, should you want a mixer you will have to buy a separate bottle for around €4 as very few establishments serve light drinks on tap.

If travelling in and around Dublin; public transport provides a far more affordable option than taxis, with all-day bus passes costing as little as €6 and tickets on the DART for local Dublin stops also costing very little.
