Getting to Alicante from the Airport
The C6 Alicante Airport Bus is the only method of public transport that can take passengers into central Alicante. The bus departs every 40 minutes, with a journey time of around 35 minutes (depending on traffic). A single fare to the centre of Alicante costs €1.20 and the buses start at 06.30am and stop running at 23.10.
Taxis are also an option, with a rank operating outside the arrivals building. Taxis to the city centre cost between €13 and €16 depending on the time of day you travel.
Alternatively use Car Hire 3000's car rental service and travel in style from the airport. Plan ahead and reserve your car prior to travelling and have a car ready and waiting for your arrival. Simply use the booking form to book your car or receive a quote and find a range of cars available for you to drive away.
Average Prices
Flying to Alicante can be incredibly cheap from the UK thanks to the number of budget airlines such as Easyjet, Jet 2 and Ryanair who all offer direct flights from a variety of UK airports. At the time of writing, Ryanair’s average price per passenger each way is a remarkable £12.99 (plus applicable taxes).
Eating and drinking in the Costa Blanca can be as cheap or as expensive as you like. Benidorm for instance has over 1000 restaurants to choose from of varying quality and prices. Some of the quieter towns such as Calpe and Javia are also awash with bars and restaurants. An ‘expensive’ meal in a nice restaurant in such a place will cost you around €20 per person.
Accommodation options are also vast along the Costa Blanca. Many hotels and apartments offer block bookings, predominantly part of a package holiday, however there are many wonderful upmarket hotels to be found all the along the coast. A night in a four-five star hotel in many towns will cost you an average of €120 per night.
