Palma de Mallorca Airport (www.aena.cs) lies approximately eight kilometres east of Mallorca itself and is the third largest airport in Spain, third only to Madrid Barajas International Airport and Barcelona International Airport. This is of course due to the influx of tourists who flock to this beautiful Balearic island in all year round. In 2008, more than 22 million used the airport.

By Bus
Across from the arrivals building you will see a series of buses waiting to take airport users to various parts of the island. If you want to head to downtown Palma de Mallorca, take the Line 1 bus (www.emtpalma.es for timetables and fares), which departs/arrives throughout airport operating hours.
By Taxi
A large taxi rank can be found at arrivals for your onward journey should you require this service. A taxi to/from the airport will cost €2.60 to hail the cab, €11.50 for each piece of luggage and €1 thereafter for every kilometre travelled.
