Each year the people of Paris throw a large party in the streets surrounding Sacre Coeur to celebrate this year’s vintage from the local vines - the Fête des Vendanges de Montmartre. From the 12th to 14th October, the arrondissement will enjoy a large parade, lively markets of regional produce and crafts as well as musical events and evening fireworks.
Other harvest celebrations this month include the Fête du Raisin in Molsheim, Alsace (12-14/10/07), Fête du vin nouveau in Mittelbergheim, Alsace (14/10/07), Fête des Vendanges in Ouveillan, Languedoc (20-21/10/07) and Armagnac en fête in Labastide d´Armagnac, Aquitaine (27-28/10/07)
