| Welcome | ||
Whilst we in the UK are enduring a couple of dull and damp weeks, things are certainly hotting up in Germany, and I don't just mean the temperatures. The World Cup seems to have caught everyone’s attention, even those of us who are not normally excited by football. I know the cheerful banter across our office is infectious, particularly as we deal with car suppliers across the world and everyone is rooting for their team! Like many people, you may not be going on holiday until it’s all over – but it might be sensible to beat the post-football rush and make your plans ahead of the crowd. Take a look at some of our summer specials or if you’re not sure where to go yet, why not draw some inspiration from our destination focus – this month, the spotlight is on Bergerac in France. At this point I must thank Pat Gregson, one of our customers, for sharing her beautiful pictures of the Dordogne. If you too are a wannabe David Bailey, why not enter our photography competition below? |

Bergerac, often called the “Gateway to Perigord”, lies on the banks of the Dordogne River, surrounded by a wealth of history and natural beauty. Civilizations from pre-historic man to the Gauls and the Romans have all left their stamp on the surrounding landscape and the area boasts 1001 castles, cave paintings, numerous fortified “bastides”, medieval towns and picturesque farming villages.
Debbie, from customer services, says “Remember that in France it is compulsory for front and rear sear occupants to wear seatbelts and all children under 10 years old (except babies in a rear facing baby seat) must travel in the rear in an appropriate restrain system. Always give way to traffic coming from the right and make sure you’re aware of the legal speed limits as these differ from the UK and speeding can be subject to on-the-spot fines.”
