 | Rugby World Cup 2007 |  | The 2007 Rugby World Cup kicks off at the Stade de France in Paris on the 7th September with the opening match between France and Argentina. Consisting of 20 teams, over 600 players and nearly 2.5 million spectators, this event- played out across 12 venues is sure to be the sporting event of the year. It is in fact the biggest sporting event to take place in France since the world cup in 1998 and is the first time ever that the Rugby World Cup has been held in a French speaking country.  | Lens |  | Englands first match of the tournament against USA on the 9th will be held in the 41,000 capacity Stade Félix-Bollaert in Lens, and is sure to be a great match. On match days, the town of Lens will be hosting festivals and concerts for fans and the party atmosphere is sure to be in full swing from start to finish. Lens is only a 30 minute drive from the Eurostar terminal at Lille. You can also fly to Lille from Leeds with BMI and hire a car from Lille airport.
