2008 is the year Liverpool celebrates winning the European Capital of Culture. This famous city is bristling with history and culture, boasting two cathedrals, two famous football teams, excellent shopping opportunities and is, of course, home to The Beatles.

To soak up some of The Beatles landmarks head to Matthew Street and have a drink in the famous Cavern Club, or head to Albert Dock - bountiful of restaurants, bars and clubs. Be sure to check out the Tate Gallery, which features some of the world’s most innovative and famous works of art.

If shopping is on the agenda, Clayton Square Shopping Centre in the heart of Liverpool is plentiful of shops and boutiques, likewise the Cavern Designer Shopping Centre on Matthew Street.
