Salme asks about Spain and Portugal...
"I have never taken my family to Spain for a holiday as I didn't realise how much Spain has to offer, what is the cost of living there compared to Portugal and are the car hire rates cheaper than that offered in Lisbon?"
Luke answers...
I am a frequent visitor of both Spain and Portugal and I find both of these places a pleasure. With regards the comparison of prices I would have to say that Portugal is cheaper than Spain with regards to living expenses. However, there is not much in it and it also depends what time of year you are visiting. Spain definately has a lot to offer both mainland Spain and the Islands that surround it. Depending on what your after... I would visit the islands for their beautiful beaches and the mainland for its great history and food.
Angela answers...
