Mauritius had to be the most romantic place I've ever visited. I spent a month there. It sure is like paradise - turquoise blue sea, sandy beeches everywhere and so hot! The people are very friendly and I had a great time - would recommend it to anyone and hope to do it again soon.”
Sheeena McCafferty from Surrey

”The most romantic destination I have ever visited is Lapland.  It was freezing cold but great scenery and very romantic sat in a wooden lodge in front of a log fire drinking hot wine.”
Howard Holland from Lancashire

”My partner and I had a wonderful holiday on Corfu last September.  It was the first time we had been out of the United Kingdom.  I am 60 and my partner is 50 and it was so romantic.  We do hope to visit again as it holds many happy memories for us.”
John Masterson from Derbyshire

“The most romantic destination I have ever visited is Cape Town.  With a hotel in the port and a room with a picture window overlooking Table Mountain. Great restaurants in Camps Bay and romantic wine routes. “

Michelle Hargreaves from London

”The most romantic destination I have ever visited is Paradise Lodge on the side of Mount Rainier near Seattle.  It's old fashioned, built all of wood and is set in the most gorgeous mountainous background, with alpine flowers, snowy mountain crags and deep, deep blue skies.  Fantastic!!”
Meg Fyles from Merseyside

”An evening walk from Clark Key up river on a mild tropical evening in Singapore - stopping at one of the many restaurants for a romantic meal of course.”
Bob Anderson from Oxfordshire

“The most romantic destination I have ever visited is Brussels - for the beer and chocolate and because we went without the children!”
Liz Stacey from Suffolk

”The most romantic destination I have ever visited is the Via del Amore (the Way of Love) Cinque Terre, Liguria, Italy - walking with my wife along this coastal path through orange and olive groves, stopping for ice creams and drinks along the way at various picturesque fishing villages, having our own private apartment at night and visiting Portofino on her birthday.  Visiting places where classic poets had lived and worked. Sampling local wines and food at night before retiring to our love nest!”
Robbie Porter from Hampshire

“The most romantic destination I have ever visited must be Ballito in South Africa.  We went there for my honeymoon in 2002 and sat sipping champagne on the balcony of our suite whilst watching the dolphins.”
Catherine from Derbyshire

”The most romantic destination I have ever visited is Hawaii Island, where my boyfriend proposed on my birthday”

Jesper Koefoed from Nice, France

“The most romantic destination I have ever visited is the stunning Tatra mountains, on the border between Slovakia and Poland. Not a soul to be seen, apart from me and my beloved and the three dogs pulling our sled across the mountains and valleys of this remote snow-bound district, yet to be discovered by the marauding ski fanatics of Europe. We'll be back there every year to make snow adventures outside and warmth inside...!”
Simon Jordan from Buckinghamshire

“The most romantic destination I have ever visited is central Oslo with the snow falling - just how you imagine Scandinavia to be!”

“The most romantic destination I have ever visited is the Hotel Formentor, Mallorca where we celebrated our anniversary last year!  A special table in the Gourmet Restaurant, a fabulous meal including the local delicacy of Spiny Lobster (rarely available!) and accompanied by Vintage Champagne and Chablis completed the most romantic scene.  Earlier, a romantic walk on the beach, and sitting on the edge of a jetty with our Champagne chilling in the sea below us, set the scene for our most romantic anniversary ever!!”
