Located approximately twenty one kilometers from Belfastin Northern Ireland, the Belfast International Airport is also known as Aldergrove, while locals sometimes refer to it as the Nutt’s Corner. The airport shares it runways with a Royal Air Force base. It is the eleventh busiest airport in the United Kingdom, the second busiest on the island of Ireland, and has been seeing steady growth for many years now.

     The Belfast International Airport has transatlantic flights to Newark (New York), Orlando, Toronto and Vancouver.      Belfast is a city of history. The Titanic was built in its own shipyard, and you can still take a look at the captain’s desk that wasn’t completed in time for the voyage that saw an abrupt end in the seas of the North Atlantic. Furthermore, you may be interested in visiting the boyhood home of the novelist, C. S. Lewis, in Belfast. The novelist’s prep school is also here, and you can even roam the author’s much-loved hills of County Antrim. The Dunluce Castle, which became the setting for his Narnia stories, is open to tourist exploration as well.

     The birthplace of singer Van Morrison is another tourist attraction in Belfast. It was here that he wrote his famous lines about the Brown-Eyed Girl.
