Belonging to Spain, Ibiza is one of the Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean Sea. Sounds like a pictorial wonder already, doesn't it? Well it is just that - an island where your whole family is invited for a never-ending joyride! The major cities of Ibiza are Ibiza Town, Santa Eularia del Riu and Sant Antoni de Portmany. Attractive places are everywhere, so take your family countryside watching on the Scenic Tour Train or to see one of the prettiest and best preserved landscapes on the Tourist Train. In the heart of Playa d'en Bossa's shopping area is the Bowling centre. Aguamar, the water slide park, and the after party club, Space, are also situated here. Karting San Antonio is on the west side of the island. Yet another interesting place to visit on the island is the Aquarium Cap Blanch or the Smuggler's Cave, an ancient smuggler's grotto that has been transformed into an aquarium!
Ibiza has been especially popularized among tourists for its legendary and often riotous nightlife centreed around Ibiza Town and San Antonio. Privilege is the largest club in the world and is situated in Ibiza Town. Also in this city are Es Paradis (the water party place); Amnesia (of foam parties fame); Pacha, Eden and DC10. These clubs form the centre of the world's electronic music movement. World-class DJ's perform here especially during the summer, using Ibiza as an outlet to present new songs in the house and trance genres of the electronic dance music. Caf del Mar, too, is a must-visit if you're a nightclub addict - a very old bar where tourists conventionally view the sunset.
Large portions of Ibiza are registered as U.N. World Heritage Sites, e.g. God's Finger in the Benniras Bay, and more traditional Ibicenco cultural sites. Photographic and film shoots are held here on a regular basis. The food is good, the shopping greater. There's nothing for you to leave out!
