Although politically a Scandinavian country Denmark is physically part of Europe sharing its southern border with Germany. Actually a collection of islands Denmark provides the physical bridge between Europe and Scandinavia. Jutland is actually joined to mainland Europe and has the airports of Esbjerg and Aalborg serving 2 of it major towns, Odense is the largest town on the island of Fyn from where a bridge takes you onwards to thee island of Sjaelland where the capital Copenhagen can be found. From there a further toll bridge can be taken to Sweden. Denmark is a country rich with a history and culture that stretches back to the once all conquering Vikings. Today the country hold many examples of Medieval and 16th/17th century architecture which combined with more modern attractions such as Legoland have made Denmark a popular destinations

Statens Museum for Kunst - The National Gallery in Copenhagen contains collections representing Danish and international art from the 14th century to the present day

How to get there….
Whilst Copenhagen is the countries busiest and most important airport this small country is served by a number of others. The airport at Billund is mostly used by visitors to Legoland and whilst the airport at Esbjerg and Roenne also serve European flights.
