Klagenfurt Airport is located in the heart of Carinthia, the southeast part pf Austria. A number of taxi stands are located outside of the Arrivals/Departure areas of the airport. Additionally, Ryanair Airport Express has bus service to and from the main railway station by way of the city centre leaving the airport at 3:05 p.m. and the railway station at 12:30 p.m. Mass transit buses running to the bus terminal on the Heilgengeistplatz in the centre of Klagenfurt leave every half hour day from 6:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m.

Klagenfurt Airport has a number of services that incoming passengers will find convenient. Some of those include the following: Information desk in the departure area Passengers are allowed baggage up to 15 kg. Anything above that will be charged accordingly

An ATM is available at the entrance hall.

Lost and Found service, Tourist Information, and Seminar Rooms for conferencing are available

The hours of the Travel Value Shop are from 6:00 a.m. until 11:30 p.m. for those passengers wishing something to eat or drink.

A restaurant and coffee shops for refreshments are also located at the airport.

Inboards, Flipcharts, Video recorders, Slide projectors, TV/Video, PowerPoint Projectors, and OHP Projectors are available in the conference room upon request. The airport has parking spaces right in front of the terminal building for disabled passengers. There are also toilets in all passenger areas, telephones outside the main entrance, and an elevator to the Airport Restaurant. Bus transportation is available as well to transport disabled passengers to and from the aircraft. The airlines served by Klagenfurt Airport include Hapag-Lloyd Express, Ryannair Austrian Airlines, Tyrolean Airways, and Lufthansa. All international passengers must pay a service charge of 60 ATS on departure, and an airport tax of 140 ATS. If you need to pass the time while you are waiting for your flight, but don't have enough time to take in the sights of Klagenfurt, splurge on a meal on the Sun Terrace while you admire the scenery of the Karawanken Mountains. You may also choose to enjoy the international menu that is available in the Restaurant Balloon. Whichever you choose, allow the time you spend waiting to give you a little extra relaxation and admiration of the countryside of Austria.
