Las Vegas, Nevada

LA last yr in our Chrysler Sebring crossfire... man was that a car!! A soft top that was very much needed as we drove up to San Fran and back ten along to Vegas. In 110 degrees heat this car really did make our road trip very real. I cannot wait to return and do it all again but much, much bigger this time. This is the car of cars that was a very comfy ride on our 7 hr trips. We only had 1 problem... it took us 45 mins to suss out how to open the fuel flap, lol you just had to touch it and it came out on its own. We must have pressed every button in the car twice. James Bond, eat your heart out!!

George Elliott

Yellowstone National Park and adjoining areas. Seeing large herds of Bison returning to evening graze many within touching distance of the car. Amazingly powerful yet peaceful animals!

Robert & Mary Turner

From Vancouver to the Mexican border - along the pacific seaboard - seeing Mount St.Helen with its crown missing -- the winter colours of Washington State -being welcomed to northern California in a snow storm - to sunny southern California and seeing rain in death valley.

Glyn Cunnick

Wow, Las Vegas Strip, you try it, fast cars, rich people, great sights, brilliant lights, an experience that should not be missed...but keep your eyes on the road!!!

Richard Spedding

California's Highway 1 from San Francisco to Morro Bay is the drive of my life. Buying fresh crab and sourdough bread from the lively shops at Fisherman's Wharf, eating it on the beach at Moss Landing while watching a humpback whale and baby playing in the surf 50 yards away.
Overnight in Carmel, with the fog rolling in from the Pacific and making the trees in Monterey drip over the golf courses. Then to the Big Sur, with the Pacific rollers crashing onto the beaches and rocks far below, with amazing houses built into the hillsides on stilts looking as though they are ready to fall straight into the ocean.

On again to San Simeon, where, unheralded, you come down to sea level to a beach where the elephant seals and sea lions are drawn up in their thousands cheek by jowl, shuffling and roaring at each other. On to Morro Bay and an overnight stay in a motel with the sun setting over the lagoon of the state Park and sinking into the Pacific - absolutely a marvellous experience.

Thanks to CarHire3000, I had the drive of my LIFE! Last summer in the USA. My boyfriend and I began our adventure in Phoenix, Arizona and headed North through the beautiful semi desert landscape to Red Rock County, and the stunning town of Sedona. I can't describe how beautiful it is! Stunning views, utterly gorgeous red rock formations....you have to go there!
Then we travelled onwards towards Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon, through Ponderosa pine forests and canyons, arriving finally at one of the natural wonders of the world...breathtaking! From there we drove towards Nevada and Las Vegas, taking in the beautiful desert landscapes and the Art Deco triumph of the Hoover Dam.

We finally finished our drive of a lifetime cruising the Las Vegas Strip - did I mention that thanks to CarHire3000 we were living it up in a gorgeous convertible Mustang? No? Well, we were and it absolutely made our holiday having such a fantastic car to drive during such a varied and scenic road trip. Thank you to CarHire 3000 for such a stunning car, excellent price and hassle free service, we will be booking with you again!

Mount Rushmore

Who would have thought that a drive through the US Midwest would one of the best ever? It was a long road trip but highlights started soon after I entered South Dakota from the east. In Mitchell you'll find a palace made of locally grown corn! Lots of shops in this township and quirky gifts to boot, Driving along you are met with nature's out-of-this-world sculptured Badlands. With countless of walks through weird and wonderful shapes and the freedom to drive through and stroll around at your pace (whatever that is!), Back in the car and heading to a piece of American history- Mt Rushmore. Wow, there is something special about seeing the detail in those carved faces and the dedication it would have taken! On to cowboys in Cody, Wyoming and then to the famed Yellowstone National Park. This place needs to accolades from me - it's a gem. Geysers, check. Canyons, check. Fields of flowers, check. Buffalo strolling around, awesome sights, check check. Definitely need the camera for a trip like this. It's one of those road trips that you want to relive over and over again through your pix!

Driving through Death Valley (Nevada USA) - it hadn't rained in over 30 years there, but when we drove through it a few years ago, there was a thunder storm and torrential rain for about 10 minutes, then it dried up as though it had never happened!

Last June my wife together with 2 friends of ours did the once in a life time drive of ROUTE 66 from CHICAGO to LA. It took us 16 days of hard driving. We stuck mainly to the oldest route which ended in a number of dead ends. Some of it boring some of it very interesting but a drive we will never forget and unlikely to repeat. All with a car hired through Carhire3000

After hiring a convertible PT Cruiser, we drove up from Sacramento through the Russian River wine area. Passing countless small vineyards and storing our purchases in the boot, we arrived at Mendocino just as the fog lifted across the sea. The sun glinted on the water as we drove in and parked at a beautiful country inn.

The Big Sur from San Francisco down through Monterey (17 mile drive through the Golf Courses and past the Cyprus tree and Carmel where Clint Eastwood resides carrying on driving with the Pacific Ocean on your right hand side to Malibu and Santa Barbara and through Long Beach California skirting Los Angeles further onto Laguna Beach and finally San Diego. What an awesome drive and the weather marvellous!!! Can you just picture it in your imagination?? Sun, Sea, Blue skies and Plenty of Fresh Air! It still gives me goose bumps and so fresh and vivid in my mind after last year's vacation.

David Hickling

Los Angeles to San Francisco up the west coast road. Passing through Santa Barbara, Monterey, Carmel and Santa Cruz. With the mountains one side and the sea on the other an altogether stunning drive.

David Leigh

Highway 1 driving south from San Francisco...
The highway meanders between spectacular Californian scenery on one side and white sandy Pacific beaches on the other. I actually felt like I was driving along the beach at times with the huge foaming waves breaking just inches from the road... the ocean was that close!!!
The temptation to stop and take in the landscape as I rounded each bend was literally overpowering... if only I had had more time...

Michael Monaghan

Williams Arizona to the Grand Canyon national park. The scenery on this route is breathtaking.
Mother nature has created a show at the grand canyon that mankind will never surpass.

Ray Durey

The West Coast drive from San Francisco to San Diego. Second is the drive from Reno to San Francisco via Lake Tahoe, absolutely splendid.

Brian Rodgers

From Charlotte Nc to Memphis, Tennessee through the Smoky Mountains. A magical drive full of history with lots of places to stop and admire.
