Maximum speed in main roads at most cities are at 40 kilometers per hour (25 miles per hour). On the highways, speed limit can be at 120 kilometers per hour (75 miles per hour). Main highways have a maximum speed set at 80 kilometers per hour (50 meters per hour).
Seat belts should be worn at all times. When on main roads, left hand turns are not allowed unless specifically stated (eg, a left turn arrow at traffic lights).
The main roads and motorways in Argentina are generally very wide and speeding drivers tend to be commonplace. In wider urban areas, roads can be of less quality. Road signs are also not that visible in rural areas, so care should be taken. Tolls must be paid on some motorways, so you should check the local area when you arrive.
Petrol stations may are generously located all over each city. But it is always recommended to drive with a full fuel tank just in case. Isolated rural roads may lack petrol stations. The term used for petrol in Argentina is 'Nafta'
Big cities like Buenos Aires can be very crowded because of the narrow streets, and driving tends to be aggressive, so it is always safest to be careful and relax.
